Top LEGO News This Week: Star Trek, Batmobile, and SpongeBob!

Brickset just dropped their weekly news roundup, and it’s a mixed bag of beloved franchises and building tips. Your wallet might be breathing a sigh of relief because there are no massive new set reveals demanding your immediate attention, but plenty of familiar faces are popping up.

The most read article by a significant margin was a review of the Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge. This one clearly struck a chord with fans, pulling in over 10,000 views. It seems the call of the final frontier, plastic brick edition, is strong. Following that, we have the much-anticipated LEGO DC 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile finally revealed. This set has been on many a fan's wishlist, and its reveal generated a healthy 8,264 views and 90 likes, though the comments section is likely buzzing with opinions on its accuracy and price.

SpongeBob SquarePants also made a splash with a review of Bikini Bottom raking in 7,888 views and an impressive 114 likes, proving that animated nostalgia sells, even in LEGO form. For Star Wars fans, Boba Fett’s presence was noted with a review of set 75455. The Art Factory (set 910054), a D2C set, also grabbed attention, suggesting that more unique, display-focused pieces are always popular.

Promotions were announced for LEGO Harry Potter’s Back to Hogwarts campaign, hinting at potential deals for fans of the Wizarding World. And for those looking to optimize their building space, an article on “Decorating your LEGO space” offered practical advice, garnering significant interest.

The Pokémon theme continues to be a strong draw, with reviews for Mewtwo's Lab Break and Training House with Pikachu showing solid engagement. Overall, the week’s news cycle indicates a strong appetite for established IPs, from space exploration to superhero vehicles and cartoon characters.

No specific set numbers or prices were confirmed for India this week, meaning we're in that familiar waiting game. Based on global prices for similar-sized sets, expect the revealed Batmobile and Star Trek Bridge sets to likely cost upwards of ₹10,000 when they eventually land here. That’s about three months of unlimited chai from your favourite stall. Keep an eye on MyBrickHouse and Toycra for availability updates; a 4-6 week lag from global launch is standard. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

Brickset noted a slight dip in overall news article views this week compared to last, but the engagement remains high, showing the enduring appeal of LEGO news within the community.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
