Porco Rosso Seaplane MOC is a Masterclass in Dieselpunk LEGO

LEGO builders love a comeback story. Carl Greatrix is back. Johan Alexanderson is back. And now, Jon Hall has resurfaced with a seaplane that looks like it flew straight out of a Studio Ghibli anime and into a dieselpunk dream. This isn't a new official set, mind you, but a fan-built masterpiece that’s finally getting the spotlight it deserves. Hall, known for his incredible dieselpunk aircraft creations, has outdone himself with Porco Rosso's Savoia S-21. It’s inspired by 1930s art deco vehicles, blending that retro-futuristic vibe with the precision only LEGO can offer.

The seaplane, while not brand new to Hall’s portfolio, has only recently been photographed in its full glory. The build captures a real sense of motion, especially when presented on its watery base. It’s proof of Hall's skill that even without complex, groundbreaking techniques, the scale and careful part selection create a truly dynamic display piece. If you’re a fan of aviation, anime, or just exceptionally well-crafted LEGO models, this MOC is a must-see. It reminds us that sometimes, the most breathtaking creations don't come with a set number or a hefty price tag, but from the sheer passion and talent of individual builders.

Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. LEGO.in and Toycra will be the stores to watch for official sets from this theme, though this particular build is a fan creation. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch for any official related sets. If this seaplane were an official LEGO set, it would likely cost as much as a year's worth of your favourite biryani. This MOC is a powerful reminder of the creativity within the LEGO community. It proves that sometimes, the most impressive builds are the ones we can only dream of owning, meticulously crafted by artists who breathe life into plastic bricks. It’s a visual treat that fuels our own building ambitions.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
