Pokémon Sets, Spooky Houses, and Lord of the Rings: This Week's Top LEGO News

Brickset dropped their weekly roundup, and it seems the LEGO universe was busy. Top billing this week goes to the announcement of new Pokémon sets, complete with the first-ever Pokémon minifigures. This is big news for collectors, who have been clamoring for proper minifigure-scale Pokémon for years. Details are still scarce on specific set numbers or themes beyond the general Pokémon branding, but expect the usual rush when these drop.

Following closely is a new spooky LEGO series, kicking off with set 11383, Mayor Manor. If you're a fan of haunted houses and Halloween vibes, this sounds like one to keep an eye on. The article doesn't give much away, but the name alone conjures images of cobwebs and creaking doors.

For fans of Middle-earth, there's a review of 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith. While it’s a review and not a new announcement, its high readership suggests significant interest in this particular set. We don't have a price for India yet, but given the scale and theme, it’s likely to be a significant investment.

The LEGO Ideas platform also saw its third 2025 review results announced, with several fan designs moving forward. Which ones will get the green light for production remains to be seen, but it’s always exciting to see what the community dreams up.

LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants is making a comeback, with new sets hinted at. Given the enduring popularity of the show, these are usually snapped up quickly.

Finally, two LEGO Art sets were revealed: 31221 Gustav Klimt – The Kiss and the Jaguar E-Type (11381). There was also a review of the Hubble Space Telescope and a reveal for LEGO Ideas 21372 La Catrina. The sheer volume of new reveals across themes like Pokémon, SpongeBob, Art, and Ideas, alongside significant reviews, shows LEGO is pushing out content across the board.

No specific set numbers or prices have been confirmed for India yet, which means we're in that familiar waiting game. Expect a 4–6 week lag for availability after global launch. If these new Pokémon sets are anything like the official US pricing, they could easily cost as much as 10 months of Spotify Premium. Keep an eye on Toycra and MyBrickHouse for updates. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Keep building, keep dreaming... And don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
