LEGO X-Files Sets Land, But MOC Community Already Building More

The X-Files is officially a LEGO theme now, and if you're anything like us, your inner skeptic is screaming "I want to believe!" that more is coming. Two sets have surfaced: LEGO Ideas 21369 The X-Files and a smaller polybag-style set, 40892 Scully's Lab. The Brothers Brick has already reviewed them, and even shared a chat with LEGO designer Chris McVeigh, who apparently appreciates the "sectional aspect" of the main build. That's designer speak for "it breaks down nicely."

But the real excitement? The fan-built stuff. As soon as the official sets drop, the MOC (My Own Creation) community kicks into high gear. One builder, inspired by the new minifigures, has already whipped up a scene from the 1998 movie, The X-Files: Fight the Future. It features Mulder busting Scully out of some sort of alien pod. The outfits aren't quite right, but hey, these minifigures are too good to mess with. They even borrowed the iconic "The Truth Is Out There" tile from the official set. This is what LEGO is all about — official sets sparking a wildfire of creativity. We're expecting the MOC community to go wild with this theme.

Now, about getting these into your hands in India. No official prices or release dates have been announced here yet. Based on the US retail price and current exchange rates, expect the main X-Files set to land somewhere in the ₹10,000–₹15,000 range when it eventually arrives. Scully's Lab will likely be a smaller add-on, perhaps around ₹2,000–₹3,000.
