LEGO Super Mario Range Expands in 2027 with Long-Awaited Minifigures (2027)

Your wallet is already preparing for 2027. LEGO and Nintendo, a partnership that has already given us Zelda and Pokemon, is bringing back Super Mario with a bang. Forget those interactive figures for a moment. The big news here, the thing that’s got everyone talking, is the arrival of actual Mario minifigures. Yes, you read that right. After years of just the digital characters, we're finally getting LEGO minifigures for the Super Mario universe.

This isn't just a couple of small additions either. Eight new sets have been revealed, ranging from a modest US$10 all the way up to a US$100 centerpiece. The Brothers Brick broke the news from Gamescom, detailing these upcoming additions that aim to bring the Mushroom Kingdom to life. We're seeing everything from simple jump challenges to larger racing sets, and even a Bowser's Castle. The full lineup includes Mario’s Pipe Jump (72052), Racing with Mario (72054), Mario’s Beach Adventures (72055), Luigi & Bowser Jr.’s Race (72056), Yoshi at Mario’s House (72057), Bowser’s Rumbling Race (72058), Fire Mario & Bowser’s Castle (72060), and Fire Luigi vs Koopa Troopa Battle (72061). All of them are slated for a January 1, 2027 release.

The real draw, of course, is the minifigure integration. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for LEGO Mario fans, allowing for more traditional LEGO play alongside the interactive elements. It’s an interesting evolution for the theme, and one that’s been heavily requested. The new elements promised should help build out the iconic environments too.

The official release date is January 1, 2027. Since these sets are not yet available in India, and no official Indian pricing has been confirmed, we need to estimate. These are estimated import prices — not confirmed India retail. Keep an eye on official LEGO channels and major retailers like MyBrickHouse and Toycra for potential availability updates closer to the launch date. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

Official India pricing and availability are not yet confirmed for any of these sets. Check MyBrickHouse and Toycra for availability closer to the January 1, 2027 launch.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.

Verdict: IMPORT ONLY. Not in Indian stores — grey market or wait.
