LEGO Skylines City Builder Game Announced for PC and Consoles

Your wallet can relax for now. No specific set number means no specific price, and that's a small mercy. But LEGO Group, Paradox Interactive, and Iceflake Studios just announced LEGO Skylines, a cozy city-builder game. It’s coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. Think SimCity, but with more plastic bricks and probably fewer existential crises about urban planning.

This isn't just about slapping down roads and power lines. LEGO Skylines wants you to build a city that’s both beautiful and functional. You start small, with a single plot, and grow it into a sprawling metropolis. The game encourages you to add all the good stuff: cozy homes, green parks, quirky stores, and even well-equipped hospitals. Want to turn your city into a cultural hub with museums and sports arenas? Go for it. Or perhaps you'd prefer bakeries on every corner, fueled by your own virtual wheat farms.

As you expand, you'll unlock new buildings and services, boosting your city's rating and your citizens' happiness. The game promises a large selection of customizable plots and buildings, so you can truly put your own stamp on your creation. It's all about that satisfying feeling of building exactly where you want things to go.

The developers at Iceflake Studios are lifelong LEGO fans, and they aim to make city building a more personal experience. The LEGO Group sees this as a step into new territory, blending their brand with one of gaming's most beloved genres. Their ambition is to create a game that stands among the best in the genre, offering players the freedom to build anything from a bustling metropolis to a quirky seaside town. The game is available to wishlist now.

If this were an official LEGO set, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix Premium. No Indian store prices or release dates have been announced yet. MyBrickHouse and Toycra will be the places to watch for availability updates. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch once details surface. On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
