Your favourite LEGO set. What makes it your favourite? For most of us, it's nostalgia, or maybe a cool build technique. For Firas Abu-Jaber, it seems to be taking the LEGO Porsche 911 (10295) and building… well, everything else. The Brothers Brick highlights a collection of Firas' alternative builds from this single, very versatile, Porsche set. This isn't just a couple of spare parts thrown together; these are detailed, recognizable models that push the boundaries of what a single set can offer.

First up is a rather angular BMW M1. It’s a stark contrast to the curvy lines of the Porsche, proving the 10295 set has more to offer than just smooth, European sports car aesthetics. The M1, a legend on both the road and track, gets a faithful brick-built treatment here. Following that, we see a tribute to the iconic Porsche 935. This racing machine racked up over 150 wins in its heyday. Firas even managed to include a trophy cabinet and a spare engine with his build, a nod to both its racing success and its occasional mechanical quirks.

The collection then takes a sharp turn into the 1980s with a hot hatch: the Renault 5 Turbo. Known for its rally prowess, its boxy shape is a fun challenge to recreate in LEGO, and Firas has nailed it. This build, like the others, demonstrates an incredible understanding of part usage and form. Finally, and perhaps most surprisingly, Firas tackled a car you might recognise from a certain Japanese manga and anime series: the Toyota AE86 Corolla Levin, better known as the "Initial D" car. While mostly built from the Porsche set, some custom stickers were needed to truly capture its famous look.

What’s truly remarkable across all these builds is the functionality Firas incorporates. We’re talking detailed engines, working steering, opening doors and bonnets, and even pop-up headlights on the AE86. It’s a level of detail and playability that goes far beyond what you'd expect from alternative builds. If you own the Porsche 911 set, these creations are a serious inspiration. If you don’t, they might just convince you to pick one up. We can only guess what Firas will build next from this versatile set.

No official Indian pricing is available for the LEGO Porsche 911 (10295) set yet, and since these are alternative builds, there's no specific set number to track. Based on global prices, expect a significant investment when it eventually lands. That's roughly 15 months of Netflix Premium for the base set alone.
