LEGO Pokemon Unleashed: Rayquaza, Arcanine, and More Revealed

LEGO is going all-in on the Pokemon franchise, and the latest reveals are a mix of nostalgic nods and massive builds. Forget the smart play sets for kids; the real action is in the larger, more complex models aimed squarely at adult fans who want to display their favourite Pokemon in brick form.

Launching in August 2026 are three big hitters: the majestic Rayquaza (set 72168), the fiery Arcanine (set 72160), and the adorable Munchlax (set 72150). The Rayquaza set, in particular, looks like a showstopper, depicting the legendary Pokemon coiled around the Sky Pillar. Excitingly, it also includes a minifigure of Zinnia, a character recognisable from the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games. This inclusion hints at the possibility of more named trainers and Gym Leaders appearing in future Pokemon sets, a move that will surely please long-time fans.

Come October 2026, just in time for holiday gift-giving, two more substantial sets will arrive. First is the 72154 Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball. This isn't just a simple sphere; it's a massive, detailed Poke Ball that opens up to reveal secrets inside. Crucially, it comes packed with minifigures of Red, Professor Oak, and a Picnicker, plus minifigure-scale versions of Pikachu and Eevee. Following that is the 40868 Up-Scaled Red Minifigure set. This allows you to build a giant, brick-built version of Red, the iconic protagonist from the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow games. It seems LEGO is determined to cover all bases for Pokemon collectors.

While official Indian pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed, these sets are set to launch globally in August and October 2026. Based on the US retail prices, which range from $69.99 for Munchlax up to $299.99 for the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball, expect these to be significant investments. This means we are in that particular purgatory where you want them but cannot fully panic about the price yet.

No Indian store prices are available yet.
