LEGO Ninjago 71873 Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner: A Glimpse into 2027

LEGO has just pulled back the curtain on two new Ninjago spinners, and your wallet is already bracing for impact. We're talking about the 2027 lineup, which means we've got a bit of a wait ahead, but at least we know what's coming.

The first of these is 71873 Cole vs. Evil Cole Spinner. This set, packing 58 pieces, offers a glimpse into the good versus evil theme planned for the year. The standout feature teased is the arrival of evil versions of the Ninja, with Evil Cole sporting a spectral, mirrored design. This suggests a clear conflict narrative for the upcoming Dragon's Fury storyline. It also looks like we're getting a new dual-coloured cowl for the Ninja, a nice touch for collectors.

While the exact minifigure count remains unknown, the focus is clearly on the thematic elements and the spinner gimmick. The set is slated for a January 1, 2027 release, so there's plenty of time before it hits shelves. For now, it's a case of appreciating the reveal and preparing for what's to come.

Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. LEGO.in and Toycra are the stores to watch. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. If this set were officially sold in India, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix.

This is one for the Ninjago completists and those who love a good villainous twist. The small piece count suggests it's an entry-level set, likely designed to introduce the new theme and characters. Whether it justifies a purchase will depend heavily on the final build and the inclusion of key minifigures, which are still under wraps. For now, it’s a solid piece of news for the Ninjago faithful. Keep an eye on official channels for more details as the 2027 launch date approaches.

Verdict: WAIT. Good set, but the price will drop.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
