LEGO Moominvalley vignette shows Moomintroll and Snufkin in Finland

The world of Moomin is coming to LEGO, sort of. Finnish builder Niina Lätti (@jijixbuilds) has shared a beautiful vignette depicting Moomintroll and Snufkin enjoying the spring thaw in Moominvalley. This isn't an official LEGO set, mind you, but a fan-created piece that captures the playful essence of Tove Jansson's beloved characters and their Finnish homeland. Lätti has masterfully used smooth slopes and curves to recreate the distinct Moomin aesthetic, and if you look closely, you might even spot a hidden dragon – a clever piece of "NPU" (Nice Part Usage).

This fan build highlights the enduring charm of the Moomins, a series that continues to capture hearts in Finland and beyond. The inspiration drawn from the Finnish landscape is evident, making the Moominvalley come alive in brick form. While we don't have a set number or official confirmation from LEGO, the popularity of these characters means that an official Moomin set isn't entirely out of the question for the future. For now, however, this fan creation is a delightful proof to the creativity within the LEGO community.

It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most magical builds come from the fans themselves, channeling their passion for beloved stories into tangible creations. The Brothers Brick, which featured this build, often showcases such fan-made wonders.

No official Indian price data is available for this fan creation, and it's unlikely to be stocked by Indian retailers. If a similar Moomin-themed set were to be released by LEGO India, expect it to cost upwards of ₹8,000, which is roughly the price of 15 large boxes of Maggi noodles. MyBrickHouse and Toycra are the stores to watch for official LEGO releases, though this Moominvalley vignette is currently only available to admire through fan showcases. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

Keep building, keep dreaming... And don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
