Your wallet has been quiet. Too quiet. It knows what's coming. The Golden Hall of Meduseld, a structure so grand it could house the entire Rohirrim army, has been recreated in LEGO bricks by a builder known as monsieur.kek. And it's massive. This isn't some small MOC; it's a statement piece, a sprawling tribute to Rohan that makes you wonder why LEGO hasn't officially tackled this yet.
For years, fans have been clamoring for more Lord of the Rings representation beyond the original trilogy sets. We got Minas Tirith, which even featured a Palantír showing riders of Rohan, but a dedicated Rohirrim structure felt missing, especially since the 2012 Helm's Deep sets. Monsieur.kek has stepped in to fill that void, and the result is, frankly, stunning.
The detail here is incredible. The entrance uses SNOT techniques to mimic wooden planks, giving it an authentic, aged look. Those stacked cheese slopes above the golden arches? Pure genius, adding texture that brings the entire build to life. The roof, tiled in tan to resemble straw, echoes the design of the Rivendell set, but with a distinct Rohirrim flavour. The side doors are a particular highlight, appearing to be actual swinging planks, seamlessly integrated into the main structure.
The entire hall sits on a stone platform, providing a solid base for display and minifigure placement. And speaking of minifigures, monsieur.kek has even kitted out King Théoden with a hairpiece that actually works, and created a brilliant Éowyn – a character we desperately need in official minifigure form. It’s a MOC that not only impresses with its scale and technique but also sparks hope for what official sets could one day be.
No official set number or price has been announced for this MOC, so an Indian release is purely speculative. Based on the sheer size and detail, expect this, if it ever saw official release, to carry a price tag that demands serious consideration – perhaps enough for 10 months of Spotify Premium. MyBrickHouse and Toycra are the stores to watch for any official Lord of the Rings announcements, though MOCs rarely make it to official Indian retail. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.
This creation is a clear sign that the Lord of the Rings fandom is hungry for more. While we wait for LEGO to perhaps listen, builders like monsieur.kek are keeping the dream alive, one meticulously placed brick at a time.
Keep building, keep dreaming... And don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.
On that bombshell, bubyee.
