LEGO Lancer RPG Mechs: More Brick-Built Battle Robots Incoming

Your wallet is probably safe for now. LEGO hasn't announced any official sets based on the Lancer RPG, but a talented builder named Dane Erland is back with a third wave of incredible mechs. The Lancer RPG is known for its diverse factions and unique mech designs. Think military hardliners, bio-technicians, and even reality-warping hackers. Erland nails that creepy, menacing posture, fitting for a mech that reportedly recites from the Egyptian Book of the Dead. For fans of control-type units, the Smith-Shimano Corpro Black Witch is another standout, a controller mech that manipulates others on the battlefield. Again, Erland uses cloth effectively to add texture and detail.

The collection also features a smaller, black-ops variant of a previous mech: the HORUS Hecatoncheires. Its trans-pink energy bolts really sell the idea of nanite swarms flaring out like mystical fire. Finally, the HORUS Goblin, an early HORUS model, is recreated with a great use of red wands to capture its prickly, parasitic appearance. These aren't just display pieces; they're detailed enough to double as miniatures for playing the game.

While these are fan builds and not official LEGO products, they show what’s possible. If LEGO were to ever officially license Lancer mechs, Erland’s work sets a high bar. We can only dream of official sets with this level of detail and thematic accuracy.
