LEGO Insiders Day: Free Greek Restaurant GWP Available Now

Your wallet is probably still recovering from the last big LEGO sale, but LEGO.com is back with another event: Insiders Day. This one brings a few freebies if you spend enough, headlined by the 40908 Restaurants of the World: Greece set. It’s a nice little promotional piece, perfect for adding some Mediterranean flair to your existing city builds or just enjoying as a standalone display.

To snag the Greek Restaurant, you’ll need to hit a spending threshold. The exact amount varies by region: over US$180 in the US, £160 in the UK, and €180 in the EU. Yes, the EU price is higher, a detail confirmed by several users in the comments. It’s a bit of a sting when you’re already spending a chunk of change on new sets. On top of that, you can get an extra 500 Insiders points on your first order and double points on selected One Piece sets. There's also a smaller freebie, 30729 Premier Ball, available for orders over US$40/£35/€40.

The Insiders Day event is a good reminder to keep an eye on LEGO.com for these promotional sets. They often don't stick around for long, and if you miss out, you might end up paying inflated prices on the secondary market, as one commenter noted about a previous restaurant GWP. The 500 extra points offer isn't exactly life-changing, equating to roughly £3.13, but it’s a small bonus if you were planning a purchase anyway.

The LEGO 40908 Restaurants of the World: Greece GWP is not yet available through official Indian retailers like Toycra or MyBrickHouse. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Toycra and MyBrickHouse are the stores to watch for potential availability, though GWP items are often not stocked locally. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch if it does appear.

This event highlights the ongoing appeal of the GWP (Gift With Purchase) strategy. While some fans might grumble about the spending thresholds, sets like the Greek Restaurant are often desirable enough to encourage larger orders. It's also worth noting the popularity of the City Construction sub-theme, mentioned by a couple of users, showing that even smaller, less flashy themes can find their audience.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
