LEGO Ideas 21365 Love Birds: Cute, but does it make sense for your wallet?

ByAbhinav Bhargav·Founder, Bricks of India·Published 30 May 2026

LEGO Ideas has a new one. The 21365 Love Birds — two birds, a branch, and approximately ₹5,499 worth of pastel-coloured plastic. The name is accurate. This set features two adorable love birds perched on a branch, and it’s definitely aiming for the 'buildable botanical' vibe that’s been super popular. But before we get too starry-eyed, let's talk about the elephant in the room – or in this case, the price tag. Does this set offer enough bang for its buck, or is it just another pretty thing that’ll drain your wallet?

The box itself is the usual LEGO for Adults affair, all classy sand green. Inside, you get 7 bags and a booklet. If you're planning a build party, you'll need the LEGO Builder app for the "build together" feature. For the most part, the build is pretty straightforward, focusing on earthy browns for the branch. What's interesting here are the new pieces and the introduction of a new colour: Warm Pink. Apparently, since there are no minifigures, LEGO had a bit more "budget" for these cool new additions. We get some nice curved slope pieces that are super handy for builders, and the Warm Pink is used for the birds' plumage, adding a lovely pop. They’ve even thrown in some coral hearts for extra sweetness.

The build process itself is quite layered, using a mix of reddish-brown and dark browns. There are some neat little Easter eggs hidden too, like internal pieces referencing the colours of Micah's favourite modular building, the Brick Bank. It looks organic and attractive, though I did spot a few medium nougat hinge bricks peeking out which felt a little distracting. You can even spell out the fan designer's initials in the bark, though it's easy to mess that up like I almost did!

The foliage is another highlight. The spring yellowish green leaves aren't new, but this set gives you almost 80 of them, making it the biggest source for this part by far. The original design had lavender leaves, but the LEGO team felt they were too cold for the overall colour scheme, and I agree the current ones work much better.

Now, the big question: is it worth it? The Love Birds are undeniably charming. The new colours and pieces are a bonus for any LEGO enthusiast. It’s a display piece that’s sure to get compliments. However, it's a bit on the smaller side for the price.

Here in India, the LEGO Ideas 21365 Love Birds is available at MyBrickHouse for ₹5,499. Toycra does not currently list this set — check back or use code ABHINAV12 for 12% off on orders above ₹500 when it arrives. That’s quite a bit, isn't it? For that price, you could get about 180 cups of chai, or a really generous portion of paneer butter masala for the whole family. Compared to the US price of $49.99, it’s a bit steeper, but that's pretty standard for LEGO imports.

So, what's the final verdict? If you love the look of this set, appreciate the new colours and pieces, and have the budget, go for it. It’s a sweet addition to a display shelf.

Verdict: BUY NOW.

Standard disclaimer: got money to burn? Buy it, skip the debate. Everyone else, keep reading.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
