LEGO Horizon Adventures Thunderjaw: A Masterpiece Built for Studio Gobo

LEGO Horizon Adventures is out, and while the game itself brings the world of Aloy to our screens, one particular brick-built creation is turning heads. This isn't a retail set you can pick up off the shelf, but a colossal LEGO Thunderjaw built by master builder Kevin J. Walter. Walter, who also worked as a masterbuilder on the game itself, was commissioned by Studio Gobo to create this epic model to celebrate the game's launch.

The detail on this Thunderjaw is, frankly, insane. Walter is known for his intricate biomechanical designs, and this piece is no exception. It perfectly captures the menacing look of the robotic dinosaur from the Horizon series, complete with the complex greebling that fans of the games know and love. It’s a display piece that screams quality, designed to impress even the most seasoned LEGO builder and Horizon fan.

This isn't just a cool model; it's a piece of gaming and LEGO history. One copy was presented to Studio Gobo, the developers behind LEGO Horizon Adventures, and another was gifted to Guerilla Games, the original creators of the Horizon universe. It’s proof of the collaborative spirit between the game developers and the LEGO designers. Walter even included a UCS-style placard, giving it that authentic, high-end LEGO display set feel.

While we don't have an official set number or a price for this, it's clear this is a one-off commissioned piece. If it were ever to be released, you’d expect a price tag that would make your bank account weep. Think of the piece count alone.

No official Indian price exists for this commissioned build. If a similar scale model were to be released, expect it to cost significantly more than a premium LEGO set, possibly in the range of a down payment for a small car. MyBrickHouse and Toycra would likely be the first to stock any official Horizon-themed sets, but this particular Thunderjaw is an import-only dream. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

This Thunderjaw represents the peak of LEGO building for game tie-ins. It’s a shame it won’t be available for purchase, but it’s a fantastic tribute to the Horizon universe. We can only hope LEGO considers more sets from this popular franchise.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
