LEGO Harry Potter HBO Series Sets Confirmed, Launch Expected Early 2027

LEGO has officially confirmed new sets based on the upcoming Harry Potter HBO series. The announcement came during the Back to Hogwarts Showcase, with a teaser revealing minifigures of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. These figures will be based on the portrayals by Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton, respectively.

While specific set numbers have not yet been revealed, the article suggests the first wave of these new sets could be available as early as January 2027. The source material for these new sets is the Harry Potter television adaptation scheduled to premiere on HBO Max in December. This move by LEGO indicates a continued investment in the popular wizarding world, even as it branches into a new on-screen format.

The confirmation has already sparked discussion among fans, with comments reflecting a range of opinions. Some express skepticism about supporting the franchise given controversies surrounding the author. Others are simply looking forward to new LEGO interpretations of the beloved characters and stories. The LEGO Harry Potter theme has been a consistent performer for the company, and this new series is expected to reignite interest, though the exact product line-up and their appeal will depend heavily on the execution of the show itself.

No specific Indian pricing or availability details are available yet for these upcoming Harry Potter HBO series sets. Given the typical 4–6 week lag for new LEGO releases in India after their global debut, expect these to arrive in local stores sometime after January 2027. If these sets were to be officially released in India, the cost would likely be comparable to purchasing a significant amount of premium chai on a daily basis for several months. Both MyBrickHouse and Toycra are the usual go-to stores for new LEGO drops. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

It remains to be seen how these new sets will be received by the broader LEGO community and whether they will introduce new building techniques or character designs that differentiate them from previous Harry Potter offerings. The focus on the new actors' likenesses suggests a deliberate effort to align the LEGO products with the fresh interpretation of the saga. Fans eager for more details should keep an eye out for official announcements from LEGO regarding specific set names, piece counts, and release dates.
