LEGO Harry Potter 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle Revealed for August 29th Launch

LEGO has announced the Mini Hogwarts Castle (40975), a compact microscale version of the iconic wizarding school. This set, featuring 700 pieces, is set to arrive on August 29th, offering a more affordable entry point for Harry Potter fans who missed out on or found the larger 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds too pricey.

The new set focuses on the most recognisable parts of Hogwarts, packing a surprising amount of detail into its smaller footprint. While some commenters on Brickset noted it might lack the sheer grandeur of its larger predecessor, many praised it as a great desktop display piece with an attractive price point. It seems LEGO is banking on the demand for more accessible Hogwarts models.

The £34.99 / US$39.99 / €39.99 price tag makes this an appealing option. Some speculation suggests the set number might have originally been intended for a Gift With Purchase promotion, but it’s now confirmed as a standalone retail set. There's also a new broom mould included, though some fans pointed out it’s similar to an existing part. Still, the overall consensus from early reactions is positive, highlighting the value for money and the detailed design. This offers a fantastic alternative for those who want a piece of Hogwarts on their desk without the significant investment required for the larger sets.

Indian pricing wasn’t announced when we wrote this. MyBrickHouse and Toycra will likely have this set available 4–6 weeks after the global launch. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

The set promises to be a hit for its blend of detail, affordability, and the enduring popularity of the Harry Potter theme. It’s a smart move by LEGO to cater to a wider audience.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.

Verdict: BUY NOW. The price is right — grab it.

Correction (3 October 2026): we removed a US price, and any rupee figure worked out from it, because it isn't the Indian price.
