LEGO Friends: Heartlake The Musical Special Premieres October 16th, Trailer Drops

LEGO Friends is stepping out of the brick box and onto the stage with Heartlake The Musical. This isn't just another animated special; it's the first-ever live-action musical adaptation of the beloved Friends universe. If you're wondering about a new set to go with it, that's still up in the air.

The special, executive produced by Kenny Ortega, follows a teenager named Daisy as she navigates Heartlake City with a soundtrack of four original songs. Think vibrant choreography and impressive virtual production turning familiar locations into a dazzling live-action world. It premieres on the LEGO Group's YouTube channel on October 16th, with wider distribution planned for platforms like Netflix, Peacock, and others.

This move marks a significant evolution for the LEGO Friends franchise, which has been expanding beyond physical toys since 2012 into animated series and digital content. Heartlake The Musical aims to celebrate friendship, creativity, and self-expression, bringing the characters fans know and love to life in a whole new way. The trailer is out now, giving us a sneak peek at the music and performances.

There's also a pop-up experience in London from October 29th to 31st, where fans can get hands-on with building and catch an immersive screening of the musical at what's being called the LEGO Friends Unicorn Café.

While the musical itself is generating buzz, official LEGO set details tied directly to Heartlake The Musical are still under wraps. We've seen hints of a "LEGO Friends Unicorn café set" potentially coming to life in three ways, but concrete information on new brick-built sets inspired by this live-action venture hasn't surfaced yet. Keep your eyes peeled for future announcements; LEGO often surprises us with tie-in sets when you least expect them.

Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. No specific set numbers have surfaced, so we can only speculate on potential pricing. LEGO.in and Toycra are the stores to watch for any official tie-in sets. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch if any sets are released. If this were officially sold in India, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix — assuming LEGO India's usual enthusiasm for your wallet.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
