LEGO Drops Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Recreation, Hints at New Minifigures

LEGO and Marvel have dropped a trailer recreation for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, and it’s got fans buzzing. This isn't just any trailer; it’s packed with minifigure hints that haven't hit shelves yet. We're talking about potential new figures like John Walker, Ghost, Namor, and a different version of Steve Rogers. Plus, a brick-built H.E.R.B.I.E. Makes an appearance.

The trailer, released on Brickset, is a clever way to build hype for the movie and the associated LEGO sets. It showcases several characters in LEGO form that are not currently available as official sets. This has, predictably, led to much speculation in the comments sections of fan sites. Some users are already debating the specifics of new designs, like Namor's hard-piece collar, suggesting it points towards official future releases. Others are lamenting the absence of characters like Gambit from existing or rumored sets.

It's a familiar dance. LEGO often uses these promotional pieces to gauge fan reaction and test the waters for new characters or designs. However, as one commenter pointed out, these trailers don't always translate into actual sets. This leaves fans in that frustrating limbo, wanting new figures but unsure if they will ever materialize. The use of CGI over stop-motion was also noted, with the rationale being cost-effectiveness for such promotional material.

While no specific set numbers have been confirmed or released alongside this trailer, the implication of new minifigures is clear. The focus on multiverse elements, as suggested by some comments, also opens the door for a wide range of characters, potentially from different timelines or realities. This means we could see more obscure or fan-favorite characters making their LEGO debut.

No official Indian pricing or release date has been announced for any potential sets revealed through this trailer. Toycra and MyBrickHouse will likely stock these 4–6 weeks after global launch, assuming they are officially released. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

The question remains: will these hinted-at characters become official LEGO sets? Only time will tell, but this trailer certainly gives us a tantalizing glimpse of what could be. On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
