LEGO DC Batman Returns Batmobile (76355) Announced: Transformation Feature A Highlight

Your wallet just got a heads-up from Gotham. LEGO has officially unveiled the DC Batman Returns Batmobile (76355), and it’s a big one. This isn’t just another Batmobile; it’s a direct successor to the massive 76139 1989 Batmobile, promising an equally impressive build and display piece.

The set boasts 2,269 pieces, capturing the iconic vehicle from Tim Burton's 1992 film. It’s packed with authentic details, from the elongated bodywork and rear engine to the opening canopy. But the real showstopper is the innovative transformation feature. For the first time ever in a LEGO Batmobile, a button press will release the side panels, revealing a hidden Batmissile escape vehicle. This mechanism recreates a dramatic movie moment, allowing fans to display the model as either the Batmobile or the Batmissile.

To achieve this, LEGO designers developed three new elements, including a unique Batman Minifigure cowl and a newly molded cape for the exclusive Batman Minifigure.
