LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series - Shrek (2026): Pre-Orders Open

Your wallet can breathe a sigh of relief. For now. LEGO has officially confirmed a Shrek Collectible Minifigure Series is coming September 1st, 2026. Brickset is reporting on pre-order availability from various international suppliers, but Indian pricing and release details are, as usual, conspicuously absent. This means we’re in that familiar limbo: you want it, but you can’t quite panic about the cost yet.

The Brickset article highlights pre-order options for those keen to secure the full set the moment it drops. In the UK, Brickabrac offers a full set of 12 for £38.99 and a box of 36 for £99.99. Over in the EU, Minifigure Maddness has a deal for two boxes of 36 figures at €223.99, using the code Shrek02 for savings. For our friends in the USA, Minifigures Plus is selling a box of 36 for US$167.85 and a set of 12 for US$64.35 with the code Shrek-Brickset, plus free shipping over US$75.

Fan comments on the Brickset article suggest a mixed reception, with some questioning the enduring popularity of Shrek nearly 20 years after its initial cultural splash. One user noted that local toy stores are still struggling to shift stock from less popular CMF lines like the animal costumes and even F1 cars. Another commenter described the minifigure designs themselves as "unleaded nightmare-fuel," a sentiment echoed by several others who found the aesthetic… unappealing, to say the least. It seems even LEGO's own Jack Stone and characters from Galidor might be hiding.

Given the uncertainty around official Indian distribution and pricing, securing these might require some creative import strategies. The international pre-order prices give us a rough idea of what to expect, but LEGO India has a tendency to surprise us, often with a higher price tag.

No specific Indian pricing is available yet, but based on the international figures, expect these to cost significantly more than your average CMF blind bag when they eventually land. That's roughly the price of a decent weekend getaway for two, assuming you catch a good deal. MyBrickHouse and Toycra will likely be the first to stock them, usually 4–6 weeks after the global September 1st launch. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

Until official details emerge, these Shrek minifigures remain a curious proposition. Whether they’ll be a must-have for nostalgic fans or a niche release for the truly dedicated remains to be seen. Keep an eye on MyBrickHouse and Toycra for any updates.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.

Verdict: WAIT — check prices at MyBrickHouse and Toycra before pulling the trigger.
