LEGO brings back old GWPs, but regional availability causes pain

LEGO.com is bringing back some older Gift With Purchase (GWP) sets this week, but don't get too excited just yet. This isn't fresh content; it's leftovers from previous promotions, and the availability is strictly regional. So, if you missed out the first time, you might get another shot, but only if you live in the right part of the world.

For our UK and EU Insiders, the 40774 Classic Animation Scenes set is up for grabs if you spend over £115 or €130. This offer runs until July 16. Meanwhile, US and Canadian fans can snag the 40906 Restaurants of the World: Japan with purchases exceeding $180 or $235 CAD, also until July 23. Australians and New Zealanders get the 40916 Floral Picture Frame for spending over $245 AUD or $265 NZD, but unfortunately, reports suggest this one is already gone in AU/NZ, along with the Animal Crossing polybag.

Globally, there's also the 30731 Tom Nook and Flying Present polybag available with orders over $40 on specific themes like Animal Crossing, Fortnite, Super Mario, and Minecraft. This one is also available until July 23, while supplies last.

The problem, as always, is the region-locking. Fans across different continents are frustrated they can't access GWPs available elsewhere. It seems LEGO is just trying to clear out old stock, leading to these limited regional rollouts. This strategy often leads to disappointment, especially when GWPs sell out quickly in some areas, as seen in AU/NZ. The comments section is buzzing with discussions about LEGO's GWP calendar and the wish for a more consistent, globally available selection. Some fans are holding off on purchases, hoping for better GWPs in August.

No specific Indian pricing or availability details are confirmed yet for these returning GWPs.
