LEGO August 2026 Releases: Donkey Kong, X-Files, Pokémon, and More!

August 2026 is shaping up to be a massive month for LEGO fans, with a packed schedule of new releases hitting shelves. From arcade classics and iconic architecture to beloved pop culture franchises, there’s something for almost everyone. Prepare your shelves, and maybe your wallet.

Leading the charge are some major theme highlights. The LEGO Ideas line is getting three highly anticipated sets: 21369 The X-Files, 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and 21372 La Catrina. If you're a fan of retro gaming, 72051 Donkey Kong Arcade is set to be a big draw. For art lovers, 31221 Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss joins the Art collection, while 21067 Tower Bridge offers a new architectural challenge.

Pokémon fans are in for a treat with no less than three mainline LEGO Pokémon sets: 72168 Rayquaza, 72160 Arcanine, and 72150 Munchlax. On top of that, a staggering thirteen Pokémon Smart Play sets are rolling out, including 72167 Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle and 72164 Training House with Pikachu. However, these Smart Play sets will only be available in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, France, and Poland.

Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo also gets her own LEGO Editions, with four sets based on the singer, including 11507 Olivia Rodrigo’s Flower Bouquet. This last one cleverly crosses over with the LEGO Botanicals theme. Fans in North America will also see the arrival of Ninjago, City, and Friends sets that launched elsewhere earlier in the year.

Several gift-with-purchase (GWP) offers are also lined up. Ordering 21369 The X-Files between August 1st and 10th nets you an exclusive 40896 Scully’s Lab GWP. Spending US$130 / AU$210 / £115 / €130 on Pokémon Smart Play sets between the same dates will get you 40887 Ditto as Squirtle Movie Night, though this is region-limited. In the US, ordering 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise from August 1st to 10th will also include the returning 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection. Additionally, LEGO Insiders can look forward to double points on select sets.

The LEGO Donkey Kong Arcade (72051) is priced at US$199.99. Based on the USD retail price, expect an estimated import price of ₹21,400.
