LEGO 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle: A Pocket-Sized Hogwarts Arrives August 29

LEGO has officially lifted the curtain on 40975 Mini Hogwarts Castle, and Harry Potter fans, prepare your shelves. This isn't some sprawling, room-consuming behemoth. This is a compact microscale diorama, a bite-sized piece of Hogwarts designed to fit without demanding a whole new display cabinet. It launches globally on August 29, 2026, as part of the annual "Back to Hogwarts" celebration.

The set boasts 700 pieces, which for a microscale build, suggests a good level of detail packed into a smaller footprint. Jay's Brick Blog highlights a key new element: a brand-new broomstick piece. This might seem small, but for a theme deeply rooted in magic and Quidditch, new accessories can add significant value and playability, even in a display piece. The focus here is clearly on capturing the iconic silhouette of Hogwarts in a manageable size, perfect for those who love the Wizarding World but are short on space or perhaps just want a more affordable entry point into Harry Potter display sets.

While the official reveal is exciting, the real question for us is always about the price and availability here in India. No Indian retail prices or official MRP have surfaced yet. This means we're entering that familiar waiting game.

Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch for availability at MyBrickHouse and Toycra. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

Given the price point and the fact that it's a new release, it's wise to hold off for now. Wait for official Indian pricing to drop and keep an eye out for potential discounts or bundle deals. This set offers a charming microscale Hogwarts, and the new broomstick element is a nice touch, but the initial cost warrants patience.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.

Verdict: WAIT. Good set, but the price will drop.

Updated 1 Oct 2026: estimated price removed; official Indian pricing not yet announced.
