Goblin Biplane Build Sparks Imagination, No Set Number Yet

Tromas, a builder usually known for his sharp military and sci-fi creations, has taken a sharp left turn into pure fantasy. And what a turn it is. He’s crafted a goblin biplane, christened the Boomfuze & Son Inc. “Prickly Buzzard,” and it’s exactly the kind of mad contraption you’d expect from a goblin engineering firm. This isn't some sleek, aerodynamic machine; it’s a flying menace bristling with what looks like a truly alarming array of weaponry.

Forget missiles and lasers. This biplane is kitted out with tanks of mushroom mead – probably for morale – and, for some reason, a live skunk. The engine choice is equally unconventional: dual broomstick engines. One can only imagine the chaos and questionable flight characteristics this would lead to, especially with all the bones and spikes adorning the airframe, presumably to make it look as intimidating as possible. It’s a design that perfectly captures a certain brand of goblin ingenuity: functional, yes, but also reckless, dangerous, and utterly impractical.

The Brothers Brick featured this build, and while it’s a fantastic display of creative brick-building, there's no official LEGO set number attached. This is purely a fan creation, proof of what can be achieved with imagination and a good collection of bricks. It’s the kind of build that makes you wish LEGO would release more fantasy-themed sets, especially ones with this much character and a sense of dark humour.

While no official set number exists for this goblin biplane, if a similar fan-built set were to be released in India, expect the price to be a significant hurdle. Based on typical fan-designed sets and import costs, a build of this complexity and theme could easily land in the ₹10,000–₹15,000 range. That's about the cost of 15 large boxes of your favourite chai. Stores like MyBrickHouse and Toycra would likely be the places to look for such a unique item, but it would probably be an import-only affair initially, with a 4–6 week delay from global availability. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

It’s a reminder that the LEGO world is full of incredible creations, both official and fan-made. This goblin biplane is a standout example of the latter, showcasing a level of detail and personality that’s hard to ignore. It’s a shame it’s not a retail product, but the inspiration is clear. Keep an eye on builders like Tromas; you never know what they’ll come up with next.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
