The BrickLink Designer Program is back, and this time it's taking us to the stars with the Delta Navigator. Your wallet is probably already bracing itself, as these fan-designed sets can be a hit or miss on the price front, and we don't have any Indian figures yet.
This project, submitted by Eric Nowicki, leans heavily into modularity, a feature many fans recall fondly from the original Classic Space sets. The Delta Navigator itself is a multi-part spaceship designed for exploration and transport. It boasts a double-canopy cockpit, inspired by the iconic 6929 Starfleet Voyager, and a rotating wing and engine assembly. The ship can be configured in various ways, with the cockpit able to point downwards or the entire ship tilted.
Playability is clearly a key focus here. The middle section features a deployable cargo bay with mapping dishes, a deep space satellite, and even planetary modules that can be attached to the wings. On the underside, you'll find retractable landing gear and further cargo bay doors for deploying those mapping dishes. The colour scheme is derived from the available BDP 2028 Wave 1 astronaut minifigures and some existing science kits, giving it a cohesive, classic-meets-modern space aesthetic.
Included with the main ship are a deployable terrestrial botany laboratory and an energy generator, adding even more creative possibilities for display and play. The two astronauts and one robot crew members round out the set, which comprises approximately 950 pieces. Its physical dimensions are noted as 16.0 inches wide by 11.4 inches deep by 2.4 inches high.
This project is part of the BrickLink Designer Program 2028 Wave 1, meaning it's currently seeking votes from the community to become an officially produced set. If it garners enough support, it could be heading to production. We've seen some fantastic fan designs come through this program, and the Delta Navigator certainly looks like it could be another hit. It’s a clever nod to the past while forging its own path in space exploration.
Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. LEGO.in and Toycra are the stores to watch for potential availability. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. If this were officially sold in India, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix — assuming LEGO India's usual enthusiasm for your wallet. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch if it makes it to production. Keep building, keep dreaming... and don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.
