LEGO Olivia Rodrigo's Flower Bouquet (11507): Worth It?

Your wallet probably just flinched. Not because of the piece count, but because you saw "Olivia Rodrigo." This is 11507 Olivia Rodrigo's Flower Bouquet, a set that tries to blend the popular Botanicals line with the pop star's aesthetic. It's a bold move, mixing licensed IP with what’s usually a more serene theme. The box tries to balance both, but it leans heavily on the "Editions" look. It has 400 pieces, which sounds respectable, but the flowers themselves are quite delicate, making the set feel smaller.

The core of the set is, of course, the flowers. There are 10 floral and foliage elements, plus two butterflies. The standout piece is the purple guitar, cleverly used as petals. It’s a nice nod to Rodrigo’s music, but getting those guitars spaced evenly was apparently quite fiddly. Then there are the African daisies, using lilac petals and stick-like stems for a more realistic look. The verbena stalks are also praised for their accuracy, mirroring the real plant's growth pattern. One has a little bee perched on top, which is a cute detail.

The purple rose uses interlocking wheel arches and shell pieces, a technique seen before in other Botanicals sets. A tiny red thorn adds a bit of detail. The black hellebore is another interesting one, employing black heart tiles and a mix of star and wolverine claws for the stamen. It sounds unique. There’s also a pink tulip-like flower using shell pieces and a yellow star on a wheel cover. It's effective, if not particularly groundbreaking.

Beyond the flowers, there are two foliage stalks. One is a simple green affair, while the other is a striking red, incorporating cherries – another symbol linked to Olivia Rodrigo. The two-tone stem design here is a nice touch. And then there are the brick-built butterflies, perched on transparent shafts, meant to look like they’re fluttering around. Like most Botanicals sets, there’s no vase included, so you’ll need to supply your own. Some builders 3D-print one, which is a common workaround for these sets.

The main issue here seems to be the integration of the license. While the guitar and cherry motifs are present, they feel surprisingly understated. The set is predominantly purple, which is nice aesthetically, but the "Olivia Rodrigo" aspect feels a bit tacked on rather than deeply woven into the design. It’s a competent Botanicals set that happens to have some pop star references, rather than a true fusion. The build experience is described as fiddly at times, especially with arranging the elements.

For the price, it offers a decent number of pieces and some clever building techniques, particularly with the guitar and hellebore. If you’re a big Olivia Rodrigo fan who also loves the Botanicals line, this might be a unique addition. But if you’re just looking for a solid floral build, there are other, more established Botanicals sets that might offer a more focused and less complicated experience. This set feels like it’s trying to be two things at once and doesn't quite nail either perfectly. It's a decent build, but the value proposition is questionable given the price and the somewhat muted theme integration.
