LEGO Olaf and Bruni’s Picnic Fun (43287): Worth ₹4,999?

ByAbhinav Bhargav·Founder, Bricks of India·Published 8 July 2026·Updated 8 July 2026

Your wallet called. It wants to discuss the LEGO Olaf and Bruni’s Picnic Fun. Yes, the one with the snowman and the salamander from Frozen II. It’s a small set, just 170 pieces, but LEGO has a way of making even the smallest things feel… significant. Especially when they land in India.

This set is primarily aimed at younger builders, a subset of the LEGO universe that often gets overlooked by us older builders chasing UCS Star Destroyers and massive modulars. And that’s fine. We don’t need to collect every single Disney Princess castle or Frozen playset. But sometimes, a small set like this can sneak up on you. Is Olaf and Bruni’s Picnic Fun one of those? Let’s find out.

The build itself is straightforward. You get Olaf, Bruni, and a small picnic scene. The picnic scene includes a small table, a bench, some food accessories like a carrot for Olaf’s nose (obviously), a basket, and a few decorative elements. It’s designed to be a quick, enjoyable build, perfect for an afternoon project for a child. The main draw here, however, are the minifigures. Olaf is a pre-molded figure, as he usually is, and Bruni is also a pre-molded creature element. These are the stars of the show, and for fans of Frozen, they are the main reason to pick this set up.

The play features are minimal, as expected for a set of this size and theme. It’s more about imaginative play with the characters and the small picnic setting. You can imagine Olaf and Bruni sharing a meal, perhaps discussing the latest gossip from Arendelle. The accessories are cute, and the little table is stable enough for play. It’s a solid, if unspectacular, addition to the Frozen line.

Now, the big question: Is it worth ₹4,999? This is where things get a little… chilly. For 170 pieces, that price point feels steep. Even considering the licensed characters, which always come with a premium, it’s a hard pill to swallow for such a small build. You’re paying a significant amount for those two figures and the LEGO branding. If this were an un-licensed set, a similar piece count would probably hover around the ₹2,000–₹2,500 mark.

The appeal here is almost entirely dependent on how big a fan of Frozen you, or the intended recipient, are. If you’re a die-hard Frozen collector, or buying for a young child who adores Olaf and Bruni, then the price might be justifiable. You’re buying the characters and the LEGO experience. For anyone else, especially those watching their budget, this is a set to admire from afar. It’s a cute little vignette, but it doesn’t offer much beyond the characters themselves.

The build quality is, as always with LEGO, excellent. The clutch power is perfect, the colours are vibrant, and the pieces are all well-molded. There are no stickers, which is a nice touch for a set aimed at younger builders – everything is printed. That’s a definite plus. The inclusion of printed elements, especially for the food accessories, adds a lot of charm.

So, should you rush out and buy it? If the price were closer to the ₹2,500–₹3,000 range, I’d say it’s a solid buy for fans. At ₹4,999, it’s a tough sell. MyBrickHouse and Toycra both list it at this price, which means the official retail price is likely set firmly at this level. Use code ABHINAV12 for 12% off on orders above ₹500 at Toycra. You’re essentially paying for the IP.

MyBrickHouse and Toycra have it for ₹4,999. That’s enough for 23kg of Amul butter, or about 18 months of your favourite streaming service. This is not an impulse buy.

Ultimately, LEGO Olaf and Bruni’s Picnic Fun (43287) is a charming set for a niche audience. It’s well-made, features beloved characters, and offers a simple, enjoyable building experience. However, the high price-to-piece ratio makes it difficult to recommend broadly. If you’re a massive Frozen fan, or buying for one, and the price doesn’t make your eyes water, then go for it. Otherwise, it’s probably best to wait for a sale or a price drop. There are many other LEGO sets that offer more brick-built value for your hard-earned rupees.

Keep building, keep dreaming... and don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.

Verdict: WAIT. Good set, but the price will drop.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
