However, there's a sticker sheet, which always adds a bit of a drag. Four advertising panels on the tram, two pier signs, and two for the ice cream cart. While they do enhance the look, especially the advertising panels which give the tram character, it’s a drawback for purists.

The minifigure selection is a definite highlight. The tram driver sports the standard LEGO City train uniform, but discreetly hides a hearing aid. The passenger in the Hawaiian shirt with unique sunglasses and a plain hat is a great summer vibe character. The inclusion of the surfer, the fisherman, the ice cream vendor, the pug, and the seal makes this feel like a complete little world. It’s this ensemble that elevates the set beyond just a tram model.

The source material notes that the tram can be seen travelling on a track spur not included in the set, which is a slight shame. While the set provides a terminus and a small section of track, the lack of motorisation options or even a powered element is a missed opportunity, especially for a train set. You can’t easily motorise it, which might be a dealbreaker for some.
